Goodman Group (“Goodman” or “Group”), the integrated property group which owns, develops and manages industrial space, today raised HK$400,000 at the Goodman Interlink Magic Mile charity event held at its flagship development in Tsing Yi.
The total amount raised will be donated to Benji’s Centre, which provides professional speech therapy services to children and teenagers from low-income families in Hong Kong.
The charity event was held to commemorate the completion of Goodman Interlink
, a landmark warehouse and distribution development in Hong Kong’s strategically important Tsing Yi port district. Sixty-seven teams, dressed in a variety of colourful costumes, competed to run up the 15-floor cargo ramp of Goodman Interlink
. Participants included Goodman’s staff, customers, business partners and their families.
Mr Philip Pearce, Goodman’s Managing Director, Greater China commented, “Benji’s Centre is a charitable organisation very close to our hearts and we are extremely proud to be able to do our part in support of such a worthy cause. I would like to express my gratitude to all the participants today for their generosity and involvement, which made this event a great success.”
Founded in 2004, Benji’s Centre aims to help children in need of professional speech therapy from low-income families, and enable them to integrate into the community. To date, over 1,200 children and families have benefited from the Centre’s services.
