Here are the most frequently asked questions about the Magic Mile race. If your question isn't listed, please email us here.

1. When do I get my registration pack?

On Sunday, 22 March 2020, one representative from each team, and each individual Magic Mile Challenge runner is required to pick up the race pack at the registration counter. The registration counter will be opened from 9:00 am onwards and the Ramp Run will start at 10:00 am sharp (Magic Mile Challenge). Runners can collect their running bibs from the registration counter on the day and to avoid delays and crowding, you are advised to arrive early. 

Registration pack may also be mailed or picked up at Goodman office during 18 - 20 March 2020. Arrangements will be made according to the designated delivery method selected in registration form. 


2. What is the payment method for sponsorship?

You are advised to keep the payment slip and upload e-version to Magic Mile registration site for our record. 


3. How to use my BIB?

Secure the bib on your chest and make sure it is clearly visible at all times during the race to enable officials to identify your numbers. Do no fold or remove the timing chip. Race participants must step on the timing mats located at the Start and Finish Line, otherwise no results will be provided. 

The organiser will NOT re-issue the number badges as they are unique and non-replaceable. Any runner who does not wear their number badge on the day of the event can still participate at the charity run but will not be qualify to win any awards.


4. What is the dress code?

The only thing we do ask is that you wear a pair of suitable running shoes for comfort and safety.


5. Will there be storage on site?

Runners may drop off their bags with the baggage tags provided with the bibs and deposit them at the Baggage Deposit Area. We recommend participants to bring along a waterproof bag. We will only process baggage with an official baggage tag. After the race, runners can re-claim their bags at the Baggage Deposit Area. All runners are required to collect their belongings before the counter closes at 1:00 pm. 

The Organizer (Goodman Asia Limited) will not be liable for any loss or damage to any belongings brought to the Magic Mile. 


6. How do I get there?

Complimentary shuttle bus service between Tsing Yi and Kwai Fong MTR station. The buses will be running between 8:00 am to 1:00 pm. Complimentary parking is available too.


7. How do I/we win the race?

Magic Mile Challenge
The total distance is about 4 miles (6.5 km) with runners up and down the cargo ramp twice for a total of 4 laps.  Prizes for the fastest male and female runners.

Magic Mile Classic
The total distance is about 1 mile (1.61 km) with the finishing line on the 15th floor of the ramp. A team of four is required to qualify for the race. The winning team will have the fastest aggregate time to finish the race and there are prizes for the fastest corporate team, fastest family team, fastest male and female runners. This year, corporate and family teams are running together so bring your colleagues and your kids.

The Blindfolded Race
A team of two is required to qualify for the race. One of the runners must wear the paper cataract glasses to experience the blindfolded run for 2 floors. Prize for the fastest team. 

Tall' n Small Relay
A team of 1 parent and 1 kid to pair up for the 60m relay run with two age groups (4-7 and 8-10) available. Prize for the fastest team. 


8. Any water stations?

Water stations with dispensers will be setup at the Start, Finish Point, 3/F and 15/F. Participants are encouraged to refill water using their own bottle and avoid using disposable plastic bottles. 

Reusable cups are used to help reduce waste. Please follow on-site instructions and return the cups to the designated area after use. 


9. What is the minimum age for participants? 

  • Magic Mile Challenge and Team Relay: Minimum age requirement is 18 on the race day.
  • Blindfolded Race: The minimum age requirement is 10 on the race day and each participant aged under 16 must be accompanied by an adult aged 18 or above.
  • Tall 'n Small Relay: Group A participants aged 4-7; Group B participants aged 8-10 and each participant aged under 16 must be accompanied by an adult aged 18 or above.
